Carolina has been teaching media arts since the year 2000, as an adjunct professor first at Pittsburgh Filmmakers, Carlow College, Carnegie Mellon University, and University of New Mexico, and is currently an Assistant Professor of Media Arts at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA. She has also served as Non-Resident Studio Instructor for the Main College of Art MFA program and for the Union Institute and University Vermont College, MFA in Visual Arts program, and was invited to teach a workshop at Universidad de Valparaiso, Chile.

Her experience as an instructor has allowed her to further study and develop in the field of electronic and digital media finding ways to engage students in the learning of both aesthetic and technical aspects of this art. She regards teaching as a privileged place where enthusiasm can be transmitted and approaches each course as a new opportunity for exploration and production.

In 2005 she was awarded a Student Government Excellence Award for Engagement with Students at Robert Morris University, and was selected by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences as one of only 20 faculty members nationwide invited to participate in their annual Faculty Seminar taking place in Los Angeles in November.
